DESCRIPTION:Over 35\,000 residents of Nevada aged 60 and older experience food insecurity\, with many residing in Las Vegas where financial struggles are common. Thankfully\, a program is ensuring that they receive the nourishment they need. \nEast Valley Family Services runs the Golden Groceries program\, which provides essential food items to seniors in need. Once a month\, eligible seniors receive bread\, vegetables\, and canned goods\, along with a free breakfast during the food distribution. Typically\, around 150 seniors attend this monthly event. \nTo participate\, individuals must be at least 60 years old and present identification.
